A Historic Hill Country Gathering Spot

Silver Creek is housed in a beautifully preserved two-story Victorian home built by Robert Striegler in 1908. This classic Fredericksburg “L” shaped building, with its heavy corner quoins and Tuscan columns, invites guests to step back in time and experience the craftsmanship of early German settlers.

The Striegler Home

The Striegler Home
Constructed in 1908 for Robert G. Striegler and his family, this distinctive ell-shaped home has been carefully preserved through generations. Featuring original architectural details like leaded glass windows, beaded ceilings, and elegant woodwork, the house reflects early 20th-century craftsmanship. Today, Robert and Cheri Carter have revitalized the home, filling it with antique furniture, glassware, quilts, and collectibles that celebrate Fredericksburg’s rich heritage.
